NAG-ISYU ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) ng Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 21-08 na nagpapahintulot sa mga sinehan na muling magbukas sa ilalim ng general community quarantine (GCQ) areas simula sa Marso 5.
Sa ilalim ng nasabing circular, papayagan lamang magbukas ang mga sinehan sa GCQ areas ng hanggang 25% capacity.
Hindi rin nito pinapahintulutan na kumain at uminom ang mga moviegoers at kinakailangang nakasuot ng face mask sa lahat ng panahon sa loob ng sinehan.
Kinakailangan din ang 1-meter physical distancing ng mga manoood.
“In the event of free seating, cinema staff shall usher customers to their seats to comply with the physical distancing and maximum operational capacity requirements,” ayon sa isinaad ng MC.
Papayagan namang makapag-operate ang mga sinehan sa ilalim ng modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) ang mga lugar na may 50% capacity.
Kabilang din sa pinayagan sa ilalim ng MC ang mga libraries, archives, museums, at cultural centers sa 50% sa GCQ areas at 75% naman sa MGCQ areas.
Parehong operation capacity ang pinatutupad sa video at interactive game arcades, limited tourist attractions kagaya ng mga park, theme parks, natural sites, at historical landmarks. Bubuksan sa 50% capacity ang meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions (MICE) industry simula ngayong Biyernes.
“Following the earlier agreement at the IATF, DTI issued the circular that will guide the implementation of a safe and gradual reopening of more businesses and economic activities. This is part of our mandate to ensure that as more businesses reopen to provide more jobs and sources of income for our countrymen, the strict health protocols are enforced,” ayon kay DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez.
