“To clarify recent reports, the operation at what has been referred to as the ‘mother of all scam hubs’ in Ermita, Manila, was led by the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) and focused strictly on executing cyber warrants to counter cybercriminal activities,” saad pa ng NCRPO. This was not a human trafficking operation, and therefore, the Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) was not involved. The discovery of foreign nationals on-site was incidental to the primary objective. As such, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) bears no responsibility for any subsequent release of these individuals, as this falls solely under judicial procedures associated with cybercrime enforcement,” ayon sa NCRPO.
Statement of PAOCC for Being Falsely Associated with the Raid in Century Park Tower in Malate last October 29, 2024
“The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) was not part of the raid that was spearheaded by the PNP-NCRPO and the PNP-ACG. We were never consulted nor informed regarding this operation. We never release any foreign nationals caught in POGOs because all our operations are always properly coordinated with the DOJ-IACAT and the Bureau of Immigration. Please do not associate PAOCC with flawed operations.
Moreover we NEVER said that the said raided POGO is the MOTHER OF ALL POGOs. As aforementioned that we had nothing to do with this operation, thus we will not release any statement regarding its investigation.
We call on all media outlets to take down any news item that associates PAOCC with the said flawed raid.”
