Netanyahu: Israel ready to defend itself against Iran

ISRAELI Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu boldly claimed the country is ready to defend itself against Iran after efforts to stop the Islamic Republic from developing its nuclear capabilities have failed.

For Israel, diplomacy alone is not enough to resolve brewing tensions between Jerusalem and Tehran.

In a recent interview, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu slammed Iran for its ongoing nuclear activities adding that Israel will do whatever it takes to defend its people.

“If these Ayatollahs think that they could threaten us with a nuclear holocaust they’re wrong. We will do whatever we need to do to defend ourselves,” said Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel.

Netanyahu also sent a message to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman that a pace with the oil-rich kingdom would be considered a quantum leap due to its influence not just in the Arab world but also in the Muslim world.

The Israeli leader also mentioned how the Abraham Accords, which was brokered by former United States President Donald Trump made historic treaties with the UAE, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan under his leadership.

Last week, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) released its quarterly report on the Iranian Nuclear program, along with a shocking revelation that the Islamic Republic can now produce enough weapons-grade uranium to manufacture ‘five nuclear weapons in one month, seven in two months, and a total of eight in three months’.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said he is confident Israel can counter Iranian weapons after Tehran announced on Tuesday that it had created a hypersonic missile capable of traveling at 15 times the speed of sound, making it the fourth country in the world to do so.

On May 29, the Israel Defense Forces launched a large-scale two-week military exercise and convened the country’s high-level security cabinet at an underground command center in Tel Aviv for a mock drill that focused on a potential multi-front war with Iran.
