ON August 14, 2024 at Villamor Air Base, Pasay City, LTC Alvin John Q Gador PAF (GSC) assumed command of the 900th Air Force Weather Group (AFWG), succeeding Col Alfredo G Antonio PAF (MNSA), who relinquished his responsibilities as Group Commander.
The Vice Commander of the Philippine Air Force, MGen. Augustine S Malinit PAF, witnessed this significant leadership change during a ceremony. He commended the Group’s accomplishments, including their cloud seeding operations, which successfully completed 100 sorties and dispersed over 30,000 kilograms of sodium chloride across various regions.
Col Antonio will take on the role as Chief of the Office of the Air Force Chief of Engineers, while LTC Gador previously served as Group Commander of Tactical Operations Group 12.
The 900th AFWG will continue to deliver accurate and timely weather data to support the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
