OVP Mag Negosyo Ta ‘Day: Formerly sari-sari store, now they have rice business

TATAY Jericho, a senior citizen, from Barangay 33, Bacolod City, started a small business of sari-sari store. With the dream of growing his business and livelihood, Tatay Jericho approached the Office of the Vice President (OVP) to be part of the Mag Negosyo Ta ‘Day (MTD) program of the office.

Through OVP – Panay and Negros Islands Satellite Office, his request was quickly processed and Tatay Jericho’s investment grew. Aside from the sari-sari store, he also has rice now. For Tatay Jericho, OVP program like MTD is a big help for small business owners like him.

MTD is one of the programs of OVP that aims to address unemployment and provide entrepreneurial opportunities to Filipinos among vulnerable and disadvantaged sectors, women, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
