THE Philippine Air Force, through the Office of the Air Force Inspector General (OAFIG), hosted the 4th Quarter Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Inspector General’s Service (IGS) Forum for Calendar Year 2024 on December 2, 2024, at Agunod Hall, Col Jesus Villamor Air Base, Pasay City. The activity was presided over by LtGen. Augustine S. Malinit PAF, The Inspector General of the AFP.
The forum served as a vital platform for the AFP to align its activities, exchange best practices, and address organizational challenges. Major Service Inspector Generals (IGs), key personnel from the AFP-wide IG community, Unified Commands, and AFP-wide Service Support Units (AFPWSSUs), participated in the forum. Several senior officers, including Executive Officers of the Joint Staff and Major Service 3s, also joined the event via video teleconference.
One of the highlights of the forum was the awarding of Inspector General Service (IGS) badges to four distinguished Major Service IGs:
- LtGen. Augustine S. Malinit PAF, Inspector General, AFP
- MGen. Thad Rufino P. Candelario PAF, Air Force Inspector General
- RAdm Roy Vincent T. Trinidad PN, Naval Inspector General
- MGen. Ferdinand B. Napuli PA, Inspector General, Philippine Army
Through this activity, the PAF reinforced its commitment to operational excellence and good governance. By fostering collaboration and sharing best practices, the organization continues to strengthen its capabilities and address emerging challenges.
