PAF Housing relocation and replication project breaks ground at News Clark City

THE Philippine Air Force (PAF) took part in a milestone event at the New Clark City, Tarlac, with the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the PAF Housing Relocation and Replication Project on November 19, 2024.

This project is a result of a Memorandum of Agreement between the Department of National Defense- Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) to relocate and replicate existing PAF facilities within the 313 hectares in Clark Freeport Zone, to its future site in New Clark City.

A highlight of the ceremony was the laying of a time capsule at the project site attended by key officials from DND/PAF and BCDA namely Usec. Salvador Melchor B. Mison Jr., Undersecretary for Acquisition and Resource Management, DND; LtGen Stephen P Parreño PAF, Commanding General, PAF; Atty. Hilario B. Paredes, Chairperson of BCDA; and Engr. Joshua M. Bingcang, President and CEO of BCDA.

Also present at the event are MGen Pablo E. Rustria Jr. PAF, Chairperson of the PAF-BCDA Technical Working Committee; Hon. Susan A. Yap, Governor of Tarlac; Atty. Agnes VST Devanadera, President and CEO of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC); and Mr. Joseph P. Alcazar, President and CEO of the Clark International Airport Corporation(CIAC); Hon. Leonardo D. Anunciacion, Acting Mayor of Bamban.

This groundbreaking ceremony marks the beginning of a transformative project that hopes to modernize and improve the quality of work and life for PAF personnel, and also contribute to the long-term development of the New Clark City area and its surrounding communities.
