MALAPIT nang makabili ng license cards ang Land Transportation Office (LTO), pagtitiyak ng bagong liderato ng ahensiya.
Umaasa ang bagong liderato ng LTO na sa lalong madaling panahon ngayong taon ay babahain ang district offices ng LTO ng license cards.
Nasa 39,567 plastic cards na lang ang natitira para sa driver’s license sa buong bansa ayon sa LTO.
Paliwanag ni Atty. Esteban Baltazar, Concurrent Executive Director ng LTO, nasa post qualification stage na ang procurement process.
Ibig sabihin, nasa proseso na sila ng pag-verify, pagpapatunay, at pagtiyak sa mga dokumentong isinumite ng bidder na may lowest calculated bid, kabilang ang pagtiyak na nasusunod ng nasabing bidder ang kinakailangang legal, financial, at technical requirements ng bid.
“And I believe the procurement of license cards will soon be coming. It’s now in the post qualification stage and it will be our leads on. And we hope that the district, the LTO district offices will be flooded by license cards that would address the problems of our people requiring license cards,” ayon kay Atty. Esteban Baltazar, Concurrent Executive Director, LTO.
LTO, nakipag-usap sa ilang supplier ng plastic cards para sa emergency procurement
Dagdag pa ni Atty. Baltazar, nagsimula na ang LTO na makipag-usap sa ilang suppliers para sa emergency purchase ng plastic cards.
Aniya, posibleng maisagawa ang emergency procurement upang makabili ng maraming plastic cards sa lalong madaling panahon.
“As a matter of fact, the new Assistant Secretary of LTO has initiated some emergency measure for the emergency procurement of license cards. We are talking with certain suppliers. These are government suppliers for the provision of license cards. And, I think that would be possible. We can produce some license cards in the near, very near from today,” saad ni Baltazar.
“Yesterday, I was there during the conference with certain suppliers that will going to purchase emergency, in a emergency situation of the procurement of license cards,” ani Baltazar.
Pagbili ng plastic cards, hindi maaantala sa pagpalit ng bagong liderato ng LTO
Pinawi naman ni Baltazar ang pangamba ng publiko na baka maantala na naman ang pagbili ng license cards ngayong nagpalit na ng bagong liderato sa LTO.
Matatandaang nagbitiw sa kaniyang puwesto si dating LTO chief Jay Art Tugade.
Ito’y sa gitna ng pagresolba sa kakulangan ng plastic driver’s license cards para tugunan ang pangangailangan ng ahensiya.
“We are going to institute mechanism that even the people come and go in the LTO, the system will remain even if the new one is coming since the system is established. We can proceed even with the changes of the guards in the LTO,” ani Baltazar.
