Parañaque requires prior scheduling for COVID-19 rapid tests

THE City Government of Parañaque today said people who want to undergo free rapid testing for COVID-19 must first secure a schedule from the City Health Office to ensure quality service and avoid long waiting lines.

Mayor Edwin L. Olivarez said the city’s rapid testing services will continue, but there is a need to screen all requests to determine who must be prioritized according to their symptoms and background.

“We want to maximize the use of our test kits because these are finite resources, and we only have a limited number of health care workers who can do these tests,” the mayor said.

City Health Officer Dr. Olga Virtusio said those who want to avail of the rapid testing may call the city’s main laboratory located at City Hall to secure a schedule.

The landline number to call is 02-8829-0977 and look for Yvonne or Carina. They are available from Monday to Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For those who only have mobile phones, people may call 0919-0009543 and look for Ms. Joy Aman, who will take calls on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, you may call Marjorie Teves at 0998-5704357, also from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.
