A mall in Pasay City was personally inspected by the city government to ensure that it follows the quarantine guidelines under the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto- Rubiano led the inspection team along with other officials from the Pasay Hypermarket Mall.
Under the mall management, only ten customers are allowed to go inside to purchase food, clothes and any other to maintain proper social distancing.
Alcohol and disinfectants are also provided inside the mall and individuals not wearing a face mask and don’t have a quarantine pass will not be allowed to enter.
Security and health protocols at the shopping center are also implemented for shoppers.
The mall management already installed modern technology to measure temperatures. The said technology is also much faster in providing results compared to manual thermal scanners.
On the other hand, the mall management revealed that due to the pandemic in the country, the total number of customers lowered compared to previous months where COVID-19 is not a threat.
Currently, as per the management, there are only at least 5, 000 customers every day compared to the estimated 500, 000 regular customers in the previous years.
Pasay City, however, hoped that the public will cooperate with the guidelines but stressed that they will not hesitate to close the mall if one of the protocols will be violated.
