Pastor ACQ reminds government officials vs ‘abuse of powers’

IN his program “Sounds of Worship,” aired live on Sunday, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy of The Kingdom of Jesus Christ focused on giving advice to government officials.

According to Pastor Apollo, it is the government’s responsibility to act in the best interest of its constituents.

Thus, government officials can avoid wrongdoing, as stated in the Holy Scriptures.

“Leaders who are to be obeyed, leaders who are ordained of God because you are in power. Leaders who are there to execute judgment unto the wicked, unto the evil… listen, do not thwart the judgment of God. Verse 3,4. Romans Chapter 13…3 and 4. Leaders of this country memorize this. For rulers are not a terror to Good works but unto the evil,” according to Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, The Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Apollo cited examples from the Holy Scriptures about leaders who were not blessed and were removed from their positions.

This happened due to misjudgment and siding with wrongdoing.

He mentioned the biblical story of Queen Jezebel, who, in the pursuit of power, coerced King Ahab to seize property using bribery and influence.

Due to the wickedness in the power of the said queen, she faced severe consequences…

“When God’s judgment falls upon a person as wicked as Jesebel, there was already a pronouncement of judgment to her from the prophet Elisha to Jehu to the prophet that was sent. There was a prophecy. Kaunon siya sa mga iro [Kakainin siya ng mga aso],” Pastor Apollo added.

So, Pastor ACQ reminded government officials to be cautious in serving the nation, especially regarding the issue of abusing power, emphasizing that the scripture clearly states that the state is meant to protect the good against evil.

Abuse of power occurs when the government protects and sides with the wrongdoers while allowing those doing good to be destroyed and harmed.

Especially in the context of the issue of the communist-terrorist group, CPP-NPA-NDF:

“Why? Verse 4. For you are a minister of God for good, for the good. And there was a warning, but If though do that which is evil, be afraid… The NPA should be afraid of you, for he beareth not the sword in vain. You are the authority the power, the people elected you…You have the authority and the power, the voice of the people is the voice of God. For you are a minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon them that doeth evil. Who doeth evil in this country? The CPP-NPA-NDF! They should be afraid of you, the wrath of government should be upon them! Not the other way around. If it is should be the other way around, then that is an abuse of authority and power. And the judgment of God will fall upon those who will thwart the judgment of the people. Ayaw jud ninyog baliktara. (Huwag talaga ninyong baliktarin),” Pastor Apollo stated.
