DURING his intervention, President Bongbong Marcos Jr. underscored the importance of cooperation between the ASEAN and the GCC to ensure continued prosperity.
The six member countries of the GCC are Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates while the 10 member countries of ASEAN are Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
President Marcos attended the ASEAN-GCC summit where he discussed business opportunities in the Philippines.
Pres. Marcos Jr. also urged investors to invest in the Maharlika Investment Fund (MIF), among other significant developments in the Philippines.
The chief executive also expressed his deep concern over the increasing number of victims of the conflict in Israel and Gaza as well as the safety of all those affected by the conflict.
Pres. Marcos Jr. is hoping that all parties will do their best to reduce tension, stop all violence, and engage in dialogue and diplomacy.
