PCG District Central Visayas joins Send-Off Ceremony for Señor Sto. Niño and Sinulog Festival 2025

THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) District Central Visayas has participated in the Send-Off Ceremony for the 460th Fiesta Celebration of Señor Sto. Niño and Sinulog Festival 2025 held at the Cebu City Sports Center, Cebu, 08 January 2025.

The event brought together key agencies, including the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Department of Health (Philippines) (DOH), Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO), Prevention, Restoration, Order, Beautification, and Enhancement (PROBE) team, Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office-CCDRRMO (CCDRRMO), and Barangay Public Safety Officers (BPSO), to ensure readiness for the highly-anticipated festivities.

Adding a spiritual highlight to the ceremony, the image of Señor Sto. Niño was brought to the venue for a special mass, symbolizing the devotion and cultural significance of the upcoming celebrations.

According to Coast Guard District Central Visayas (CGDCV) Deputy Commander, Commander Adonis Añasco PCG, the PCG’s active involvement in the Fiesta Celebration of Señor Sto. Niño and Sinulog 2025 underscores its commitment to public safety and security.

With the enhanced and proper coordination among various agencies, the PCG stands ready to provide maritime and public safety support during the festivities, ensuring a safe and memorable celebration for all.
