THE Coast Guard District Southeastern Mindanao (CGDSEM) has launched Task Force Ingat Yamang Dagat in Panacan, Davao City, on 05 July 2024.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG)‘s National Operations Center for Oil Pollution (NOCOP) Director, CG Commodore Glenda Pereyra, presided over the ceremony, followed by a comprehensive oil spill response simulation exercise with BRP Tubbataha (MRRV-4401).
The CGDSEM said the activity simulated a realistic oil spill scenario that required immediate and coordinated response efforts to mitigate marine environmental damage.
