FROM 14 to 19 November 2024, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has recorded over 190,000 families, composed of approximately 669,000 individuals, evacuated from the six regions affected by Typhoon #PepitoPH: Bicol, Southern Tagalog, Northwestern Luzon, Northeastern Luzon, National Capital Region, and Eastern Visayas.
As of 12NN today, 19 November 2024, the PCG recorded 5,339 families, composed of 18,562 individuals, remaining in the evacuation centers of Bicol and National Capital Region.
Meanwhile, 185,249 families, composed of 650,160 individuals, evacuated in Southern Tagalog, Northwestern Luzon, Northeastern Luzon and Eastern Visayas returned to their respective homes.
The Command deployed 7 vessels and 239 land mobility and surface vehicles to send force augmentation and support the national government’s humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations.
PCG Commandant, Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan PCG, has ordered the full mobilization of relief efforts for communities impacted by Typhoon #PepitoPH.
He also reminded all PCG personnel to remain vigilant and to carry out all assigned tasks promptly and efficiently.
