THE Philippine Army, Philippine Air Force, and Philippine Navy athletes played a crucial role in the country’s dominant performance at the 2024 International Canoe Federation (ICF) World Dragon Boat Championships.
The national team, powered by military paddlers, clinched 11 gold, 22 silver, and 8 bronze medals in the four-day competition, which saw fierce battles against international powerhouses like the US, Thailand, China, and Canada.
The races were held in the territorial waters of the West Philippine Sea, adding to the intensity of the contest.
