Philippine Flag to be part of AFP battle uniform

AS a symbol of National Pride, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff, General Romeo Brawner Jr., announced that the Philippine Flag patch to be an integral part of the AFP-wide battle dress.

This initiative aims to reinforce patriotism and solidarity as a visible reminder of AFP’s commitment to upholding the Philippine sovereign rights and territorial integrity.

This aligns with the broader efforts of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to foster national pride and unity among Filipinos.

The announcement reflects the AFP’s effort to provide vivid representation in carrying out its mission with honor and pride.

AFP honors LtGen. Tolentino during exit call

Meanwhile, the AFP rendered arrival honors to LtGen. Rowen Tolentino, Superintendent of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), during his exit call on July 4, 2024.

LtGen. Tolentino, a member of the PMA “Makatao” Class of 1989, paid his exit call to General Romeo Brawner Jr., AFP Chief of Staff, and other senior military officers as his term as PMA Superintendent has come to an end.

Prior to his stint as PMA Superintendent, LtGen. Tolentino held several key positions including as the:

  1. 42nd Commander of the 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division, PA
  2. 18th Commander of the 703rd Infantry (Agila) Brigade
  3. Deputy Commander of Training and Doctrine Command, PA
  4. Chief of Staff, PA
