“Throughout the years PHITEXT has delivered outcomes of paramount importance to the Philippine tourism industry. Beyond statistics it has nurtured alliances, unlock prospects and ignited possibilities. With our President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. underscoring the significance of tourism as an economic cornerstone. Today, we continue this tradition,” ayon kay Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, Tourism Promotion Board.
“The theme for this PHITEX edition “tourism sustainability in the era of internet of things”. The internet of things or IOT has been a presence for years and it reach has kept on expanding, altering our industry redefining the tourist experience with a mere click of a button. Let’s not overlook the ascendant force of an AI or artificial intelligence which is rapidly also shaping our sector,” dagdag ni Nograles.
“Amidst this transformative surge, tourism industry must be poised for action, we must not only embrace this digital revolution, but also guide the way ensuring that tradition co-existence harmoniously with modernization. It is a delicate equilibrium, one that we as stewards of our cultural heritage, must master,” ani Nograles.
“As part of the Philippines reintroduction into the world, we have made the effort to collaborate with our counterpart in the ASEAN with the conscious effort of positioning the Philippines in a more primary role across Asia. With that, we establish partnership with our neighboring countries strategically positioning our self toward competitiveness as well as sustainable and inclusive tourism guided by the vision of ASEAN,” ayon kay Christina Frasco.
