INAASAHAN bago matapos ang taong 2021 ay tatanggap na ang Pilipinas ng mga fully vaccinated tourists mula sa mga bansa na napabilang sa ‘green list’.
Ito’y kapag naipalabas na ng Inter-Agency Task Force ang panibagong guidelines na inaasahang maisapinal bago matapos ang buwang ito ng Nobyembre.
Ayon sa Department of Tourism (DOT), sinang-ayunan ng IATF ang pagpasok ng mga fully vaccinated tourists mula sa green countries/territories/jurisdictions.
Ayon kay Tourism Secretary Bernadetted Romulo-Puyat, nakatakdang magpulong ngayong araw ang IATF upang talakayin ang mga protocols na ilalabas ngayong buwan.
Tanging mga indibidwal na bakunado ng bakunang inaprubahan ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sa ilalim ng Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) o mga bakunang otorisado ng World Health Organization (WHO) ang maaaring makapasok sa bansa.
“Allowing tourists from green countries or territories that have the majority of its population vaccinated and with low infection rate, will greatly help in our recovery efforts-increasing tourist arrivals and receipts among others,” ayon kay Romulo-Puyat.
“This move will likewise aid in bolstering consumer confidence, which is a large contributor to our gross domestic product or GDP growth,” dagdag ng kalihim.
Kabilang naman sa mga bansa na inilagay sa ‘green list’ simula Nobyemre 16 hanggang Nobyembre 30, 2021 ang:

Welcome development para kay Puyat ang aprubal ng IATF na buksan na rin ng bansa ang border nito para sa international leisure travelers.
“Our Asean neighbors like Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia also did the same. We believe that it is also time for us to reopen our borders for inbound tourism as a way towards full recovery,” ani Puyat.
Kabilang naman sa ‘red list’ ang Faroe Islands at the Netherlands habang napabilang naman sa ‘yellow list’ ang mga bansang hindi nasama sa listahan.
