PNP clearly violated the law over violent operation on KOJC religious compounds on June 10

THE Philippine National Police (PNP) clearly violated the law in their violent execution of a warrant of arrest against Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ on June 10, 2024.

This comes after KOJC presented video footage showing the aggressive and violent operations of the PNP special Action Force and CIDG during their simultaneous search of the KOJC religious compounds.

Atty. Israelito Torreon, legal counsel of the KOJC, said the armed police officers’ actions in serving the arrest warrant clearly violated rule 113 of the revised rules of court.

Senator Bato Dela Rosa agreed with this assessment.

“It was clear that 3:59 am they just immediately placed ladders therein and entering, breaching the walls of the KOJC. That is a violation of the Rule 113 of Section 11,” according to Atty. Israelito Torreon, Legal Counsel, KOJC.

“Not only in the warrant of arrest but also, search warrant, you need to ask permission from the homeowner,” Senator Bato dela Rosa stated.

These are just some of the points clarified during the senate’s first hearing on the violent police attack on KOJC religious compounds.

To recall, the violent and inhumane actions of the police drew condemnation from various personalities, with former President Rodrigo Duterte referring to the June 10 incident as the “Day of Infamy.”
