THE Philippine Sports Commission commenced the Summer Sports Clinic for the dependents of its employees aiming to advance the fundamentals of participants to arnis, badminton, basketball, boxing, and chess at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, Manila.
Topnotch athletes serve as instructors for the three-week long clinic, coinciding with the school summer break.
Comm. Matthew ‘Fritz’ Gaston emphasized the importance of learning the basics in aspiring to be the next Philippine sporting icon.
The clinic is made possible in partnership with the Philippine Eskrima Kali Arnis Federation, Philippine Badminton Association, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, Association of Boxing Alliances in the Philippines, and the National Chess Federation of the Philippines.
