Rep. Magsino commends Prayer Mountain built by Pastor ACQ

OFW Party-list Rep. Marissa ‘Del Mar’ Magsino commended Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy for establishing the Prayer Mountain, located in the foothills of Mount Apo in Davao.

Magsino made the remarks in the latest SMNI Exclusive with Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.

“I really admire our countrymen who are wonderful— and very creative. I saw that in the Prayer Mountain when I visited there.”

“I didn’t know there was something as beautiful as [Prayer Mountain]. My God, I said, is this true? Is this real? Maybe the flowers and plants were plastic. But it was real,” Rep. Marissa ‘del Mar’ Magsino, One Filipinos Worldwide (OFW) Party-list said.

Magsino also saluted Pastor Apollo for his help and support to the indigenous people.

“I’ve seen your paintings on your birthday, Pastor, you painted a tree and I realized that you did it to support our indigenous people,” Magsino said.

Magsino expressed her full support to Filipino artists, especially those who are doing to help IPs.

“I would like to give my full support to our countrymen, to those who have a talent in art and are also helping the indigenous people,” Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, The Kingdom of Jesus Christ said.

“Pastor, we are one with you [in supporting Filipino artists] you can let us know anytime what we can do and we will do everything to improve the creativity of Filipinos because that is what will make Philippines more beautiful,” Magsino added.

Meanwhile, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy urged for a law that will boost Filipino arts and culture.

“I hope [Filipino] arts and culture will progress through your advocacy in Congress, and we craft a bill for it,” Pastor Apollo said.

The good Pastor suggested a bill that could help artists a ‘break’ and be known for their works.

“Maybe you can make a House Bill about arts and culture because right now, we have a group of artists that should be given a break—they’re brilliant, but they aren’t being noticed.”

“So, as you said, I am a patron also, of arts and culture.”

“I really admire the works of our painters,” Pastor Apollo added.

Meanwhile, Pastor Apollo also shared how he merged his love for art and the environment.

“Mine is a living painting— the landscaping,” Pastor Apollo added.

“I’m really making my own way, my own ‘climate change’ in our place in Glory Mountain— you have yet to see it, congresswoman,” said Pastor Apollo.

The good Pastor also shared how he preserved and changed Glory Mountain and Prayer Mountain in Davao City.

“Prayer mountain is 6 kilometers away from Glory Mountain. There are a lot of pine trees and indigenous trees there, back then in was all barren,” Pastor Apollo said.
