Republic of Singapore Ship arrives in Manila for a Goodwill Visit

THE Philippine Navy welcomed the Republic of Singapore Ship (RSS) ENDEAVOUR, headed by Col. Wong Chng Tong, Deputy Commander of the Maritime Training and Doctrine Command, Republic of Singapore Navy, for a goodwill visit in Manila on February 13, 2025, at the Navy Headquarters.

Representing the Flag Officer In Command, Commo. Ireneo D Battung PN, Commander, Sealift Amphibious Force, Philippine Fleet, received Col. Wong Chng Tong and his delegation for a courtesy call.

During the meeting, officials from the Philippine Navy and the Republic of Singapore Navy discussed enhancing bilateral defense relations, focusing on naval officer education and knowledge sharing.

The visit emphasized both nations’ commitment to regional peace and security, offering the Philippine Navy opportunities to learn best practices, improve operational capabilities, and strengthen future collaboration on maritime security challenges.
