South Korea calls on Russia to halt arms transaction with North Korea

SOUTH Korea has once again appealed to Russia to cease its arms transaction with North Korea.

To recall, the White House claimed that Pyongyang has sent several dozens of ballistic missiles and ballistic missile launchers to Moscow.

According to an official from the foreign ministry, Russia’s acceptance of North Korean weapons is contrary to United Nations Security Council resolutions, of which Moscow is a member.

South Korea has also engaged with the international community, including the U.S. and Japan, regarding this issue.

It is expected that South Korea and the U.S. will discuss this issue during a meeting in the UN Security Council.

To recall, South Korea will begin its non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council starting this January.
