I extend my congratulations to former US President Donald J. Trump on his nomination as the Republican Presidential candidate for the 2024 US Presidential Elections.
I can still recall the warm and cordial ties we shared during my presidency when we managed complex challenges and worked together in strengthening the deep and comprehensive ties between the Philippines and the United States, and in securing the stability of the Asia-Pacific region.
As he enters his momentous phase in his political life with the hope of steering the United States and the American people anew in this challenging time, I wish him nothing but strength, wisdom, and the best of health.
It is also my fervent hope that the Philippines and the United States continue to strengthen the rich foundation of cooperation and partnership that have been cultivated over the years to ensure continued peace, security, and prosperity for our peoples.
