Stopping operations of ABS-CBN not a violation to press freedom- Ex-Sen. Enrile

NO violation of the freedom of the press was made when the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has stopped the operations of the ABS-CBN.

Former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile asserted this in an exclusive interview with SMNI News.

He said it was clear that the network’s expired franchise term was the issue here and not the suppression of the press.

The ABS-CBN, Enrile said, should not use this issue to cover and continue their business.

The former lawmaker also insisted do not put the issue in anyone’s anger as to why their operation was suspended.

Here is the voice of former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile in an SMNI News interview:

“Ibang isyu iyon.
