Telegram channel claims Putin found ‘lying on the floor’ due to cardiac arrest

THE Kremlin has moved swiftly to address the growing concerns and rumors surrounding Russian President Vladimir Putin health.

These rumors began to circulate in various media outlets and international platforms, and they raised questions about the well-being of the Russian President.

However, the Kremlin issued a strong statement to clarify the situation.

The spokesperson for the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, held a press conference and stated,

“We want to categorically reject any unfounded speculations regarding President Putin’s health. He is fit and well, and there is no cause for concern.”

The Kremlin’s response comes after President Putin had not been seen in public for an extended period, leading to widespread conjecture about his condition. Some media outlets had even published misleading claims.

Meanwhile, Peskov further emphasized,

“President Putin’s temporary absence from public appearances is not unusual, and there is no need to read into it as a sign of any health problems. The President has a busy schedule, and he continues to lead our nation as he always has.”

The speculations came after a telegram channel, General SVR, which was allegedly run by a Kremlin Insider claimed that Putin suffered a serious health episode in October 2022, and that the Russian president was lying on the floor in his bedroom after having suffered a cardiac arrest.

The said telegram channel claimed that Putin was lying on the floor and rolling his eyes.

It can be noted that the same channel had made similar updates on Putin’s health, several of which were already proven wrong.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the Kremlin updated that Putin had a telephone conversation with Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva at the initiative of the Brazilian side. Both leaders talked about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. They also exchanged views on the Ukrainian Issue.

Both Putin and Lula also expressed a desire to continue closely cooperating within BRICS and the G20, in which Russia and Brazil respectively preside next year, as well as to develop mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in various areas.

Putin also met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister– Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov to discuss the performance of the Russian industrial sector.
