Thailand’s death toll from Israel-Hamas war reaches 28

FOUR more Thai citizens have died as war between Israel and Hamas enters its 10th day.

This brings the total death toll to 28, with 16 wounded and 17 others held hostage.

As the death toll increased, so did the number of Israelis who volunteered to be repatriated – from more than a thousand to 7,000 in just a few days.

The number of evacuees is expected to increase to 400 per day.

The government sent fifteen officials from the Labor Ministry and the Foreign Ministry to Israel to coordinate the evacuation efforts.

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin also promised to intensify efforts to free the abducted Thai citizens.

Thailand is the second foreign country with the highest death toll after the United States.

US President Joe Biden is considering traveling to Israel in the coming days, though no travel date has yet been confirmed.

The ambassadors of Israel and Palestine to the country previously vowed to help the government return Thai nationals hostage by Hamas.
