I knew Ben Abalos, the father of now DILG Sec. Benhur Abalos. Ben was a decent man and a good mayor of Mandaluyong. I knew Benhur when he was studying law at the Ateneo Law School in Makati.
Benhur has changed since his law school days. Power has gone into his head. He learned nothing of law at the Ateneo given his actions today as DILG secretary. His arguments justifying what he did placing a P10-million bounty on Quiboloy’s head, bounty which he said came from voluntary contributions of individuals from the private sector, makes him liable under the Anti-Graft & Corrupt Practices Act as pointed out by many lawyers. The “overkill” by PNP-SAF battalions in full battle gear armed with Armalites to serve a simple arrest warrant desecrated house of God, the Kingdom of Jesus Christ where worshippers were praying, and resulted in a number of helpless women and children being wounded at the KJC compound in Davao as they were trampled upon the heavy boots of SAF storm troopers and in two deaths at the Sarangani compound according to SMNI.
Bongbong Marcos and DILG Sec. Benhur Abalos are accountable for these barbaric acts in line with their command responsibility. They cannot claim innocence for the wounded and dead resulting from a Nazi-Gestapo-type operation on helpless civilians. The operation clearly constituted a crime against humanity by the same reasoning Nazi officials were found guilty by the Allied Tribunal at Nuremberg in 1945-46.
Bongbong keeps harping on the rule of law as the pivot of his government. What rule of law, people ask. What the record shows is his blatant disregard for the rule of law. When one goes to court one must go with clean hands. Bongbong Marcos now has the blood of innocent of Filipino civilians who were wounded and died at Davao and Sarangani. It shows he and Benhur Abalos are followers of the Anti-Christ.
