Thousands of riders showcase safety, readiness of Sultan Kudarat for Kalimudan Festival 2023

IN the early hours on Sunday, thousands of riders gathered at the Capitol Grounds of Sultan Kudarat.

This gathering aims not only to enjoy but also to explore the province’s tourist destinations.

The riders are participants in the Sultan Kudarat-SOX Motourism Adventure.

This is part of the activities for the 25th Kalimudan Festival this year.

Those who joined expressed delight in the ride, noting that every checkpoint they passed was filled with food.

Celebrity moto vlogger Jet Lee led the activity alongside other motovloggers.

This is part of the promotions for Philippine motorcycle tourism.

During their tour, riders affirmed two things.

That Mindanao, especially Sultan Kudarat, is safe for Motourism.

And the province is well-prepared to welcome numerous visitors to the festival this year.

The event received support from the Department of Tourism (DOT).

“This Motourism event is a feat that’s hard to beat. This is the first time ever in Mindanao that there are more than 1,500 riders. And the good thing here is it’s showing Sultan Kudarat and SOCCSKSARGEN is really a very safe destination,” according to Nelia Arina, Regional Director, DOT-SOCCSKSARGEN.

Moto vlogger Jet Lee clarified her personal experience in Mindanao.

Especially since she was once a victim of false beliefs that the region is dangerous for tourists.

“I was also afraid to go to Mindanao because of what they say, that it’s dangerous, there are these and that… But when I came here, it wasn’t true. It’s so beautiful, wonderful. They should visit. So every time I’m asked now as a Philippine Motorcycle Tourism Ambassadress, every time I’m asked what my favorite place to visit is, I always say SOCCSKSARGEN,” according to Jet Lee, Philippine Motorcycle Tourism Ambassadress.

The Sultan Kudarat Provincial Government showered prizes during the fellowship night for the riders in the Motourism event.

Some took home raffle items, and of course, cash, courtesy of Governor Datupax Ali Mangudadatu.

This is just one of the highlights of the one-month-long celebration of the 25th Kalimudan Festival.

It also coincides with the 50th Founding Anniversary of the Province of Sultan Kudarat.

“Don’t miss that, guys, because it’s so amazing here. I’m really enjoying it, so… You should try, you should experience Sultan Kudarat. There’s so much more to love about Sultan Kudarat,” Lee said.
