“So for Day 1 we went to Sirao Gardens the ever beautiful and we were very lucky kasi full bloom siya at this time. It really made our visit there in a way perfect and then we went of course to Evo the glamorous camping facilities. There is no reason why people would not go there especially these days na we have long weekend and everyone is looking forward to enjoy and spend time with their family. Christmas is coming up and then of course there’s series of activities heading our way. So, I’m sure this would help DOT Central Visayas in our effort to fully recover the soonest as fast as we can. And then for today the highlight of the day I’d say the Adlawon where we are having our dinner and we have prepared a treat for everyone when we showcased our Filipino martial arts. We invited our friends, they did some demo and everyone learned a step or two about arnis or some will call it eskrima or the Filipino martial arts,” pahayag ni Gelena Asis-Dimpas, Chief Tourism Operations Officer, DOT Central Visayas.
“I’m inviting everyone to come to Cebu see for themselves, experience all these, our farm court fitness under our Farm Seven Program and that is why it’s perfect to…as you can see we are promoting our farm court fitness so the fitness component can be you know like learning about yoga but then as you said it’s best to learn about our own heritage and that is being embodied in the Filipino martial arts and Cebu where a home to more than 30 systems and clubs, Filipino martial arts systems and clubs, and it has been a known as Mecca for a such martial arts. Those who learned about it from different parts all over the world, their learning journey about the Filipino martial arts is not complete without coming over to Cebu and directly engage with our Grand Master and Supreme Grand Master. That’s the reason why we’re bringing in the light, the attention to the highlands like for example we are in a…some of the farms that we’ve visited, we’ve visited is in Balamban area up in the highland of Cebu and then there are some that’s part of Cebu City but it’s the highlands of Cebu City not the urban center of Cebu City. There are many trails, heritage trails, even the circuits in the north and in the south and just waiting for us to enjoy it,” dagdag ni Dimpas.
