WAR Cabinet Minister Gadi Eisenkot accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of not being honest in its wartime objectives in Gaza.
Eisenkot criticized Netanyahu’s statement in a recent press conference in which the prime minister publicly opposed its ally Washington’s stance for a Palestinian state after the war was over.
The prime minister also rejected the idea of holding elections in the middle of a war and reiterated his intentions to keep the war going until Israel achieves “complete victory”.
Eisenkot, who lost his 25-year-old son and 19-year-old nephew while fighting the war in Gaza slammed Netanyahu in a recent interview.
According to the war official, the prime minister was not being honest and unrealistic about the military’s war aims in Gaza and said it has not successfully demolished Hamas yet.
Eisenkot also proposed fresh elections due to a lack of public trust in the government.
As the war created internal divisions among cabinet ministers, the Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon criticized Israel for not being ready for war as opposed to the Islamic resistance who had been preparing for it.
