TPB Philippines promotes sustainable tourism through CSR activity

THE Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines upheld its commitment to sustainable tourism by organizing a corporate social responsibility activity for its members last June 5-7, 2024.

The activity started at Sitio Yangil in San Felipe, Zambales where the TPB members met the Aetas of the Yangil tribe and potted over 600 jackfruit and kupang seeds for the community. The members also visited Botolan to conduct a coastal cleanup drive and to learn about the agricultural, industrial, and health benefits of biochar, a form of carbonized biomass. The activity ended at Alon and Araw Club in Cabangan where the participants joined a plastic recycling workshop.

The TPB and its members also donated livestock, school supplies, farming tools, clothes, and monetary contributions to support the partner communities in Zambales.
