Tucker Carlson’s Moscow trip fuels speculation of Putin interview

FORMER Fox News star Tucker Carlson’s visit to Moscow has sparked speculation that he will interview Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Russian state media hinted at Carlson’s presence in the Kremlin.

His TV crew were also spotted loading equipment into a minivan in a hotel parking lot in footage in Moscow recently.

The conservative United States journalist has reportedly been in Russia since February 1st, and he was reportedly spotted at the Bolshoi theatre.

Footage from state-owned Ria Novosti showed a black van leaving the Russian presidential administration, possibly with Carlson inside.

The speculation intensified after Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene hinted at a Carlson-Putin interview.

Meanwhile, Bill Kristol, former Chief of Staff to Vice President Dan Quayle in the George H.W. bush administration, posted.

“Perhaps we need a total and complete shutdown of Tucker Carlson re-entering the united states until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on.”

Carlson hosted the political talk show ‘Tucker Carlson tonight’ from 2016 to 2023 on the Fox News channel.

In April 2023, he left the network to launch an independent show on X, formerly known as Twitter.

He made no secret of his wish to interview Putin and claimed that his efforts to organize such an interview a few years ago made him a target of US surveillance.

Meanwhile, when asked about Carlson’s visit to Russia, Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that it was not the role of his office to comment on the movements of foreign journalists, but the press would be informed accordingly if the Russian president is interviewed by one.
