UAE field hospital enters Gaza as Israel-Hamas truce takes effect

Emirati officials finally set up a 150-bed field hospital in Gaza to offer medical services to injured Palestinians in the besieged enclave.

Cargo trucks carrying the equipment needed to establish the facility entered Gaza through the Rafah border crossing on Friday.

It will cater to the needs of adults and children alike as well as offer dentistry, psychiatry, family medicine, and internal medicine.

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan ordered the establishment of the field hospital earlier this month to treat Palestinians in Gaza.

The facility is part of its Gallant Knight 3 humanitarian initiative.

The field hospital was set up in coordination with Israel.
