VICE President and Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Sara Duterte personally visited ang thanked the Filipino community who work and live in Malaysia last month.
The vice president thanked them for their help and support to her and President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during the last election and for their consistent support to her father Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte during his six years in office.
She acknowledged their crucial role in her current position as Vice President and Secretary of Education Department.
As Education Secretary, she asked for their help to campaign for the youth, the children, nieces and their relatives left in the Philippines to strive for academic excellence, emphasizing that education is the key to a bright future.
Expressing appreciation for the time and effort extended of the Filipino community in Malaysia.
VP Sara highlighted the importance of acknowledging their significant contributions to the country’s development
“The role that our fellow Filipinos play in different parts of the world in the development of our country is important so it is important that we make them feel that we are always supporting them,” VP Sara Duterte stated.
Her official visit to Malaysia last month was part of her mandate to her leadership at the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO).
