DURING the official trip to Malaysia of Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte as President of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) Council, she paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Dato’ Sri Fadillah Yusof, who is one of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Malaysia and the concurrent Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, in Putrajaya on February 13, 2024.
During her visit, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the hospitality extended to her and the Philippine Delegation by the Malaysian government. She also thanked them for their support to the Philippine Presidency of the SEAMEO Council and informed them that Malaysia is the third country she visited in the region.
She also expressed her warmest congratulations on the enthronement of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.
The vice president said, they both look forward to improving trade relations and cooperation between our countries.
The visit is not only an opportunity to strengthen friendships with other nations but also a chance to foster deeper relationships for the cause of peace and education.
