VICE President Sara Duterte personally visited one of the fallen soldiers from the encounter in Munai, Lanao del Norte on February 18.
VP Duterte salutes the story of courage and patriotism shown by Sgt. Tapinit and his companions who were killed and wounded.
“As we sympathize with their families let us remember that the threat of terrorism is real and it does not choose any victim. Let us also remember the danger of recruiting youth into terrorism,” VP Sara Duterte stated.
She stated her gratefulness to the family of Sgt. Tapinit for his service rendered for our country.
The vice president on behalf of the whole Filipino community extends her deepest condolences to the families of the victims of this tragic event.
