A top leader of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) has unequivocally declared the possibility of reigniting ‘People Power’ in the Philippines following the issuance of a warrant of arrest against Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy.
“It’s a warning. If they indeed proceed with the warrant of arrest against Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy, this will trigger a ‘eople Power,” according to Roland “Aziz Monk” Olamit, Secretary-General for Political Mobilization and Current State Chairman MNLF, Davao City.
“This might trigger ‘People Power’. The entire Filipino populace knows what is right and wrong; they can no longer be deceived. So, I am praying for unity among the Filipino people,” added Olamit.
This was the statement of Roland “Aziz Monk” Olamit, Secretary General for Political Mobilization and Current State Chairman MNLF of Davao City regarding the ongoing pressure from both the Lower and Upper Houses of Congress against Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) through the issuance of a warrant of arrest.
Aziz Monk was astonished that Congress would take actions against Pastor Apollo that he considered unconstitutional, as instead of being in aid of legislation, it seemed to be in aid of persecution.
He alleged that lawmakers in both the House of Representatives and the Senate are under the influence of pressure in their harassment of Pastor Apollo and SMNI, an independent media outlet known for its bold criticism and exposure of corruption in the current administration.
Among the primary enemies of the said pastor are the communist terrorist group, CPP-NPA-NDF within the government, including Arlene Brosas of Gabriela, Raoul Manuel of Kabataan, and France Castro of ACT Teachers who are all members of the House of Representatives.
On the other hand, Akbayan is known for being used by the communist terrorist group in their propaganda, represented by Senator Risa Hontiveros.
It’s also noticeable that the members mentioned in the Lower and Upper Houses who insisted on the warrant of arrest against the said pastor are connected to the said terrorist group CPP, which Pastor Apollo fervently opposes alongside the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC).
“The NTF-ELCAC, the entire nation, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and our PNP, Pastor Quiboloy’s support for the NTF-ELCAC program against communism, etc., has been a huge help. Now, the current situation has changed, and peace negotiations have resumed.”
“Just with his [Pastor ACQ’s] assistance to the NTF-ELCAC, I’ve seen his sincerity, and the immense help he’s given to our nation,” Olamit said.
The People Power Revolution, popularly known as the EDSA Revolution, was a series of peaceful, mass demonstrations in the country, wherein millions of Filipinos marched along the Epifanio De Los Santos Avenue to end the reign of President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr. in 1986. The second EDSA Revolution occurred in 2011, which peacefully overthrew President Joseph Estrada.
Meanwhile, Aziz Monk boldly stated that the entire Bangsamoro have been deceived by the current administration of Marcos Jr.
“Anyway, in my personal opinion, it seems like we’ve been deceived, the entire Bangsamoro has been deceived because the chairman expected BBM to recover the bad image that happened to his late father, the Former President [Marcos Sr.],” he stressed.
