Army cadets crowned champions in 2023 ROTC Games

PHILIPPINE Army cadets were hailed as the overall champion of the Philippine Reserve Officers Training Course (ROTC) Games that concluded on October 28 at the Philippine Air Force Gymnasium in Pasay City.

They bagged a total of 54 medals, with 20 golds, 16 silvers, and 18 bronzes in the national championship games that capped the two-month competition across the Philippines.

The Philippine Navy followed with a total of 31 medals while the Philippine Air Force had 23.

Athletes from different universities were also awarded during the closing ceremony for excelling in various competitions.

Adamson University (AdU) was named champion for the volleyball event, while the Jose Rizal Memorial State University (JRMSU) brought home gold for the basketball competition.

Also recognized for their grit and sportsmanship were the runners-up from the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos and the University of Cagayan Valley.

The 2023 ROTC Games was hailed for its success in showcasing the energy, competitiveness, and camaraderie of the ROTC cadets.

It also added another dimension to the military training program, where students can now compete in sports in addition to the traditional drills and ceremonies of the ROTC.
