SENATOR Risa Hontiveros has a new person to pick on and this is Bamban Mayor Alice Guo.
For former Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Atty. Salvador Panelo, the senator has done nothing but cause problems and destroy people’s lives.
The name of the mayor of Bamban, Tarlac has become a talk of the town after she was investigated by Hontiveros’ Senate committee due to alleged links to Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) to the point that even her identity is being questioned.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is one of those doubting the Bamban mayor’s identity.
And the president denies that he knows Guo.
However, following this, photos of Marcos with the said official during the time he was campaigning for president were widely shared on social media.
“That proves nothing. You know how many pictures I take in during a campaign? maybe a thousand in a day. It’s not like you can turn down all of those who are asking for a selfie. So, it doesn’t really mean anything,” stated Pres. Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ R. Marcos, Jr., Republic of the Philippines.
Atty. Panelo likened Mayor Alice Guo to former Bureau of Corrections Chief Gerald Bantag, former Congressman Arnie Teves, and Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ due to the government’s unjust treatment towards them.
For the former chief presidential legal counsel, the three personalities are too oppressed and persecuted by those in power.
This was the pattern he noticed.
Which then urged him to issue this message to the government.
“Why are you oppressing this person? What is there against her that you are pursuing?
“People will be too pitiful if that is what you do,”
Atty. Panelo agrees with President Marcos Jr. when he says he doesn’t remember Guo due to the amount of people he met during the presidential campaign.
However, Atty. Panelo believes that the Bamban Mayor helped Marcos Jr. before he won the 2022 presidential election.
“What I see there – she helped PBBM. She helped [him]. That’s who she supported, so, that’s natural. The joke now is, that’s the problem when you help people – they forget. That’s what people are saying,” he stated.
