THE Quick Reaction Team (QRT) of the 84th Infantry “Victorious” Battalion (84IB) of the 7th Infantry “Kaugnay” Division (7ID) together with teams from the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Nueva Vizcaya Chapter and the Local Government Unit (LGU) conducted a psycho-social support program for residents of Sitio Marikit East, Barangay Abuyo, Alfonso Castañeda, Nueva Vizcaya on June 22, 2024.
The psycho-social support program helped the local populace feel safe and able to deal with crisis better. Counselling for selected elders, giving of arts and crafts materials to children, and distribution of sanitary hygiene kits for the adults were also conducted during the program.
The Army leadership commended the 84IB troopers for prioritizing the safety of the people of Alfonso Castañeda and for providing ample support to the affected families. Meanwhile, the 7ID leadership reiterated its commitment to preserve peace, security, and development in the area in close cooperation with the Philippine National Police (PNP), the LGU of Alfonso Castañeda.
