“Bisyo ang Magserbisyo”: Bong Go secures Universal Guardians Brotherhood’s support as partners in community service

SENATOR Christopher “Bong” Go reaffirmed his commitment to public service as he attended the Universal Guardians Brotherhood (UGB) Proclamation Assembly at the Philippine Veterans Museum in Taguig City on Saturday, March 8, where he was officially proclaimed as one of the organization’s endorsed senatorial candidates for the upcoming elections.

The event, held under the leadership of UGB President Bong Contapay, gathered around 350 attendees, including key members and officials of the Apex Confederacy of Guardians Organizations.

Several other senatorial aspirants were also present at the event, including Ret. Col. Ariel Querubin, Atty. Jimmy Bondoc, and Philip “Mr. IPEktibo” Salvador. Meanwhile, Senator Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa was represented by Kagawad Wenky dela Rosa, and Pastor Apollo Quiboloy was represented by Atty. Kaye Laurente. Each is given the opportunity to present their platforms and advocacies to the members of UGB.

The organization, known for its commitment to camaraderie, unity, and volunteerism, has carefully chosen its endorsed candidates based on their alignment with the principles of the brotherhood and their dedication to serving the nation.

During his speech, Senator Go, a member of the Senate Committee on Women, also took the opportunity to acknowledge and greet all women in attendance in celebration of Women’s Month.

He emphasized the significant role of women in shaping society, particularly in leadership, community service, and governance, “Gusto ko rin batiin ng Happy Women’s Month po ang ating mga kababaihan.

Go is one of the authors and co-sponsors of Republic Act No. 11861, which amended RA 8972, or the Expanded Solo Parents’ Welfare Act to grant additional benefits to solo parents, most of whom are women.

The senator also lauded the UGB’s long-standing mission to create safe, inclusive, and sustainably developed communities, emphasizing that organizations like the Universal Guardians Brotherhood play a crucial role in promoting peace and unity in the country.

Go shared, “May nagpasalamat at yumakap sa akin kanina.

The senator, who is seeking re-election, vowed to continue working closely with groups like UGB to uplift communities and ensure that no Filipino is left behind in national progress.

The proclamation of Go as an official senatorial candidate of the UGB highlights the organization’s trust in his leadership and advocacy for inclusive development and genuine public service.

Kung papalarin, sipag, pagmamalasakit, at more serbisyo po ang gagawin ko sa ating mga kababayang Pilipino,” he concluded.
