Bong Go helps half a thousand struggling residents in San Isidro, Nueva Ecija

SENATOR Christopher “Bong” Go and his Malasakit team, in partnership with Congressman GP Padiernos, provided aid to San Isidro, Nueva Ecija’s underprivileged residents on Friday, May 24. This effort underscored his ongoing commitment to fostering inclusive recovery and improving the lives of the impoverished and vulnerable.

A total of 538 individuals received assistance from Go’s Malasakit Team, which included snacks, vitamins, masks, shirts, and sports equipment for basketball and volleyball. Select beneficiaries also received shoes and a mobile phone. The activity took place at San Isidro Central School.

“Mga kababayan ko, magtulungan lang po tayo. Magbayanihan po tayo at magmalasakit po tayo sa ating kapwa Pilipino para po malampasan natin itong mga krisis na ating hinaharap,” Go said, who is considered an adopted son of Nueva Ecija.

As he continues to prioritize the well-being of the Filipinos, Go, Chair of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, offered assistance to those in need of medical care and encouraged them to visit Eduardo L. Joson Memorial Hospital and Dr. Paulino J. Garcia Memorial Research and Medical Center (PJGMRMC), both in Cabanatuan City and Talavera General Hospital in Talavera where there are Malasakit Centers ready to assist with their medical related expenses.

Established in 2018, the Malasakit Center is a one-stop shop that brings together concerned agencies to provide indigent patients access to medical assistance programs. To date, the program has established 165 Malasakit Centers nationwide, which have helped more or less ten million Filipinos.

Go said who is the principal sponsor and author of the Malasakit Centers Act.
