AFTER the successful send-off of the Philippine Durian to the People’s Republic of China, the Ist Philippine Durian Summit was held in Davao City with the theme “Cultivation, innovation, collaboration, attracting durian enthusiasts, industry experts, and stakeholders organized by the Durian Association of Davao City and government agencies.
The event aims to showcase the rich diversity and potential of durian cultivation in the Philippines and foster collaboration among key players in the durian industry.
With Davao City being known as the “Durian Capital of the Philippines,” it was indeed the perfect backdrop for the pioneering event.
During the summit, participants had the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions, workshops, and presentations on various aspects of durian cultivation, processing, and marketing. Renowned experts shared their knowledge on best practices, innovative techniques, and emerging trends in durian production.

On the second day of the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Planters Products Philippines and Regaltech along with the durian industry association of Davao City.
