THE City Government of Davao (CGD) successfully maintains its International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001: 2015 Certification after passing the 2nd Surveillance Audit on the fourth week of July.
The ISO Certification covers the provision of public administration covering CGD’s Quality Management System (QMS) applied to all operations and processes required in the provision of quality public services, projects, and facilities.
CGD’s certifying body, SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc., shared its findings during the closing meeting which will be used to further improve the processes of all the offices, both internal and external.
Atty. Francis Mark H. Layog, the City Administrator, underscored the City Government’s commitment to excellence and perpetual directive for quality service:
“Although we have been awarded the ISO Certification, please bear in mind that we will not stop in our aim for continuity. We will constantly apply the quality management system in our offices, maintain ISO standards, and provide the highest form of public service to the Dabawenyos.”
The Quality Management System Committee is now gearing up for the ISO recertification of the local government unit next year. CIO
