THE Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) have signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on April 7 at the DOT Central Office in Makati City to boost tourism-linked industries and support MSMEs.
DOT Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco and DTI Secretary Cristina Aldeguer-Roque led the ceremonial signing on Monday witnessed by DOT Undersecretary Shahlimar Hofer Tamano and DTI Chief-of-Staff Englebert Chua.
The agreement aims to advance key initiatives that include joint trade and tourism missions, development of sustainable tourism-related enterprises and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) while promoting tourism investments on both domestic and global platforms.
It also seeks to boost the production of local talents and products in tourism-related facilities, attractions, and destinations.
DOT Undersecretary Shahlimar Hofer Tamano and DTI Chief-of-Staff Englebert Chua stood as witnesses to the event.
