THE tunnel branches under Al-Shifa were around 250 meters in length and reached multiple sites used by Hamas in the area.
The IDF claims that Hamas has been constructing and developing an extensive network of underground tunnels under Gaza’s Shifa Hospital for years.
These underground passages appear smaller compared to the expansive alleged Hamas command center that Israel had initially declared was beneath Gaza’s largest medical center.
The IDF destroyed these tunnels after uncovering and documenting them, but said that the hospital buildings above ground were not damaged.
