Indian warship arrives in Dubai for bilateral exercise

A warship and a destroyer owned by the Indian navy arrived in Dubai to conduct a bilateral exercise with the UAE naval force.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India aims to strengthen their maritime partnership through a joint military drill.

The two ships arrived at Port Rashid in Dubai as they prepare for bilateral exercise ‘Zayed Talwar.’

The military vessels will stay in Dubai from August 8 to August 11.

The exercise aims to enhance interoperability and synergy between the two navies.

The strategic ties between the UAE and India grew stronger with the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to UAE in August 2015.

Both countries have diplomatic exchanges and regularly made port calls to enhance bilateral defense cooperation since their bilateral ties were formally established in 1972.
