MATAPOS magwagi sa qualifying rounds sa unang subok nito—ay nakapasok agad sa final rounds ng Price Media Law Moot Court International Finals ang Law Debate and Moot Society ng Jose Maria College of Law (JMCFI) na naka base sa Davao City.
Isa ang JMC College of Law debate and mooting team sa mga representante mula sa Pilipinas at Asia Pacific sa nasabing international finals na gaganapin ngayong Abril at kasama nito ang mga bansang China, Singapore, at Vietnam.
Kabilang sa mga miyembro ng debate team ang mga lead oralists na sina John Rey Codilla at Jemimah Ganancial na isa rin sa mga oralist, at mga researcher na sina Eryel Comania, Prince Lloyd Depalubos, Aleah Marie Joyce Alilin, Maico Demi Aperocho, Stephen Luna, Juvy Belleza, at Faith Momo.
Naka sentro ang Price Media Law Moot Court competition sa freedom of expression at ang role ng media at ng ICT sa mga isyung kinakaharap ng sosyodad.

Samantala, excited at malaki ang pasasalamat ni John Rey Codilla—isa sa mga oralist ng debate at mooting team ng JMC na mapabilang sa mga kalahok sa nasabing kompetisyon.
“As one of the members of the JMC Law Debate and Moot Society who will be participating in the Oxford, University of, it is such an honor, and JMC Law, whole JMC Law community, by this experience we will be able to develop our skills in lawyering. We are so blessed to have this kind of opportunity,” ayon kay John Rey Codilla, Oralist, JMC Law Debate and Moot Society.
Dahil dito—mas lalo pang paghahandaan ng grupo ang nasabing kompetisyon, sa tulong at gabay na rin ng kanilang coach na si Atty. Gretchen Canedo at team managers na sina Atty. Resci Angelli Rizada-Nolasco ang Associate Dean ng JMCFI College of Law at ang dean ng College of Law na si Atty. Israelito P. Torreon.
“For the JMC Law debate and society joining the competition in the Asia Pacific rounds, 9-member, int’l rounds availability on financial resources. We will be preparing more and mastering more the facts, problem, and the arguments,” dagdag ni Codilla.

Para sa debate team ng JMC—pundasyon at inspirasyon nila ang walang sawang suporta ng buong JMC Community, lalong-lalo na ni Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy sa mga ganitong uri ng kompetisyon upang mas mahasa pa ang kanilang mga kakayahan sa kanilang larangan.
“It’s very important and it becomes our bed rock, our foundation on the competition, I thank the JMCFI admin, community especially Pastor ACQ for being so supportive with all the activities,” saad ni Codilla.
Samantala, sa mga nagnanais na maging abogado at naghahanap pa ng law school na papasukan nila—narito ang ilan sa mga dahilan kung bakit sa JMCFI College of Law ka kumuha ng abogasya.
